Equine Veterinarian Dr. Allison Mettler of K Arrow Equine Veterinary Dentistry stands with her equipment outside of a horse stall.

Say hello to Dr. Allison Mettler of K Arrow Equine Veterinary Dentistry LLC  — a passionate horsewoman, and the heart behind a new mobile equine dentistry service serving Nebraska and Iowa.

Whether she’s horseback working cattle at the feedyard, competing in barrel racing or mounted shooting, or floating teeth in a barn alley, Allison brings knowledge, grit, and heart to everything she does. Her background is as diverse as her skill set — and she’s blazing her own trail in the equine world.

As one of my EMDP ambassadors, we created these images to showcase not only what she does, but who she is — because that matters just as much to the clients she serves.

Get to know more about EMDP Ambassador Allison

In her words: My name is Allison. I come from a very diverse background but am happy to call myself a cowgirl. I work with my husband horseback at a feedyard and am starting my own mobile equine dentistry veterinary practice. When I'm not on a horse at work or in the arena, I am playing in my garden, cooking something tasty or chilling with my chickens.

Are you a member of any clubs, groups, or associations?

Nebraska Team Roping Classic

I have a passion for all things horses - whether that's helping someone within an equine sport, trying something new horseback, or doing dental work on our equine friends.

What sports or activities you participate in? At what level?

Barrel racing/pole bending, mounted shooting, team roping, breakaway, ranch rodeo

Hoping to try my hand at the Nebraska Ranch Horse competitions this year too.

Most are at the local/jackpot level but I have goals to compete at some larger scale events this year as well.

What are your favorite activities to do outside of the arena or work?

Really anything to do with horses - I enjoy competing in barrel racing, team roping, ranch rodeos and mounted shooting. I also like just being outside with my chickens or playing in my garden. When I am trapped inside, I enjoy puzzles, crocheting and embroidery

What is something you are proud of yourself for?

I'm probably most proud of my horses. My husband and I have started and trained all our own. I didn't grow up riding, so learning to live the cowboy/girl life has been a work in progress. Zac is the first horse I ever started on my own and he and I have accomplished so much together

What are three things you cannot live without? Why?

  • Horses - they give me wings

  • Ice cream - dessert is the most important part of the meal Music - there's a song for every mood

If you’re a fellow ag or equine-based business owner, I can’t stress enough how powerful professional, authentic imagery can be. Your work deserves to be seen — and your ideal clients deserve to know exactly who they’re working with.

Headlamps and grit. Horse knowledge and heart. A business built with passion and purpose.
