I thoroughly enjoy when Seniors bring things special to them to their Senior Portrait session! What way better to showcase their personality than having props near & dear to them?
Whether its having one of the locations for their session at someplace special to them, like their high school basketball court, or wanting to create a photo with a her dad's car, I highly recommend Senior sessions to be thought out. That's why I love meeting and planning sessions with Seniors.
Sydney is an avid hunter and wanted to have her bear-hunting rifle with her. Did you know she beat out her dad for the biggest bear the last time they went out?
Senior Sessions are meant to capture who you are in this chapter of life. Your portraits should express that!
Another thing I highly recommend is having the family jump in for a pose or two! Sometimes this is the only chance some have to gather everyone around for a photo. I don't ever discourage this! If only mom or dad are around, I'll ask them to spend a moment with their Senior. Whether its eye-rolls or bear hugs, those images are some of my favorite!
Senior Sessions take place most commonly June through October, depending on the high school yearbook deadline. I highly suggest planning your Senior portrait session early on in the year to ensure you get the images you want - whether the pretty greens of Summer or the golden hues of Fall!
