It rained a little Saturday morning - which folklore tells us is good luck on your wedding day - and then the clouds stuck around to create a beautiful soft light for Stephanie & Phillip's wedding at First Plymouth Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. Not only did they have a beautiful location for their ceremony, the weather was ideal with May weather being a little neurotic lately!
Fun fact about these two: Phillip worked for Stephanie's dad at a restaurant. Her dad set them up, urging her to date Phillip. Boy, did he make a good matchmaker for these two!
Their personalities connect and balance so well. And being around their group of friends & family for their wedding day was a lot of fun! They had so much love surrounding them!
After their beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends, the wedding party headed down to the Bill Harris Iron Horse Park down in the Haymarket of Lincoln, NE. The clouds still hung out giving us the perfect diffused lighting for their wedding party photos - I'll be sharing some of those later!
We also photographed some couple's photos of this new bride & her groom! Between the lavender and plum colors she chose for their wedding color palette, and the greenery in her bouquet & at the park, these two looked stunning next to the neutral tones of the beautiful train wall.
After some fun in downtown Lincoln's Haymarket, we headed to the Cornhusker Hotel where their reception was held. Stephanie was sure to reserve some time for us to exclusively use their beautiful staircase for images of her and Phillip. We had to show off her beautiful long train & veil.
Then we headed to their reception where we celebrated this new marriage! Friends spoke lovingly about the fond memories created over the years and wished many blessings upon these two and their new adventures together. It was a beautiful night full of laughter & love. Congratulations Stephanie & Phillip!
