Given the opportunity to capture my family members baling hay, I wanted to show the hard work and strength while using close up images to leave ambiguity in telling their story. I found my eye zooming in on the details, from the green fuzzy twine to the hardworking leather-gloved hands. These images can stand alone, but together share a slice of a tradition and memories which are recreated and reiterated every summer in fields all over rural America.
This collect is available to book for showing as well as for purchase as individual images or as a whole.
