Kelsey & Dylen wanted to have a natural, rustic vibe for their engagement photos - I think we accomplished that!
While March in the midwest isn't beautiful green for Spring quite yet, we had some beautiful golden sunshine and midwest sunsets are hard to beat! Plus Pioneers Park has a variety of backdrops with all sorts of nooks and spaces to play with. It's a beautiful Lincoln, Nebraska location often used by photographers due to its variety & beauty!
We started their session by the Nature Center. By golden hour, the center is closed, but east of the Nature Center is a beautiful tall, grassy field. It's golden tones were accented by the temporary cloud cover we had!
We wandered through some of the park, stopping among some spots still holding green and of course, made our way to the lake, where we had a great conversation of asking the geese to not photobomb us in trade for us respecting there space (I'm not a fan of geese... they are pretty but can bite! Childhood trauma there. haha!).
Enjoy a few sneak peeks from their session. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in September 2021!

Kelsey & Dylen came to me through Complete Wedding & Events - Lincoln + Norfolk. I love being able to partner with a company to provide an elevated experience for the couple! If you're looking for a DJ, videographer and more - definitely check them out if you're in the Lincoln, Nebraska & Norfolk, Nebraska areas!
